Staying Bonded Through Challenging Behaviors

A training conference for adoptive, foster, guardian, kinship and pre-adoptive parents and professionals woking in the field of foster care and adoption.

Keynote Speaker : Laura Sanders, LMSW will spend the morning discussing how attachment issues lead to challenging behviors and what you can do to minimize challenging behaviors. 

  • Learn how early disruptions in attahcment with primary caretakers create the insecutiy and fear that lead to challenging behaviors.
  • Learn skills to respond to behaviors in ways that effectivley serve to enhannce bonds of attachement, rather than contribute to escalation and power struggles.
  • Learn concrete strategies for increasing connection and minimizing acting out behaviors.
