Case Management
If your family is facing ongoing challenges, our case management services can provide trauma-informed, adoption-competent, individualized support. We'll meet with you weekly or biweekly, create a family-centered plan together, and work alongside you to address needs, make progress toward your goals, and build greater stability at home.
We understand that adopted youth have experienced trauma and may have had time in foster care, and that these experiences can shape what they and their families need. We also understand that parents know their families best. We listen without judgment, respect your voice, and help identify practical strategies and resources that fit your family.
If you are worried about your child, things at home feel difficult, or you are unsure what to do next, please contact us. We’re here for you, and you’re not alone.
Parent Groups
We offer multiple parent or support groups each month virtually and in-person.
All adoptive and guardian families are invited to join our support groups, events, and training opportunities. They’re a great way to connect with other families.
Resources
We offer a community resource guide in the resource section of our site. Additionally, we have links to helpful websites for families. We can also provide personalized resources upon your request. Please contact us if we can be of assistance.
Helpline
Whether you contact us by phone, email, or through our website, we’re available to answer questions, share information, and help you find resources. We can also assist you with applying for or using adoption or guardianship medical subsidy benefits. When helpful, we can join a phone or video meeting with a provider or school to support your advocacy and offer adoption- and trauma-informed information about your child’s needs.
We’re also here to help you understand what may be behind a behavior, brainstorm possible responses, or simply listen when you need someone who understands. If you’re unsure whether PARC can help, please reach out anyway. We’ll listen, answer your questions, and figure out the next step together.
A call to our Helpline can be a one-time conversation, or we can continue to follow up with additional support.
Training and Events
At least once a quarter, each of our regions offers a training. It may be in person or virtual. We also have an annual conference.
We do try to offer virtual trainings when possible so families across all of our regions may attend.
Newsletter
Each quarter we email a copy of our PARC newsletter. It contains helpful articles and tips for families. If you prefer, we'd be happy to email you a printed copy as well. Please just let us know.
Family Feedback
"Our worker took her time and listened to my concerns without any judgement when our family was having a really difficult time. I'm thankful PARC was there."
B.
"I had a medical subsidy question. Not only did I get a fast answer, but the worker knew two more programs that could help us. Thank you, PARC!"
J.
"PARC's virtual support group was the only one that fit my schedule. It took a weight off my shoulders to talk with people who understood when so many don't."
